What's Happening Across the State

- HBADE has been heavily involved in conversations surrounding Senate Bill 23 relating to housing supply and housing affordability. We anticipate this bill to be heard on the Senate floor next week. Keep an eye out for a call to action.

Senate Bill 9 (The Wetland Stewardship Act) has been released from the Senate Finance Committee and will be heard on Wednesday, June 10.

The State Energy Office (SEO) is hosting a Delaware Code Collaborative meeting on June 24, 2026, from 1-2pm to discuss a new approach to the adoption of a net zero energy capable energy code. Attendees will be asked for feedback on the adoption of this model code in Delaware, projected timelines for implementation, and what type of incentivization programs they would like to see to prepare the industry for this change in building standards.
